About Dr. Rosenberg
Dr. Rosenberg is a board-certified plastic surgeon, a Fellow of
the American College of Surgeons, and has been appointed by Florida
Governor Charlie Christ as a member of the Florida Board of Medicine.
He specializes in microsurgical techniques for breast reconstruction
following partial or complete mastectomy.
Dr. Rosenberg came to Gainesville in 1986
to study at the University of Florida. He earned his Bachelor of
Science in Psychology in 1990, a Masters of Science in Anatomy in
1993 and his Doctor of Medicine degree with honors in 1995.
Dr. Rosenberg did a residency
in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Shands Hospital from 1995
to 2002 serving as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery in 2002. He
then completed a fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the
MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
After completing his
training, Dr. Rosenberg accepted a position on the University of
Florida faculty as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery where
he trained young surgeons in plastic surgery and microsurgical techniques.
In
2005 Dr. Rosenberg joined the Orthopaedic Institute, a multi-specialty
group of board certified and fellowship trained physicians and surgeons
focusing on musculoskeletal health and reconstruction.
Dr. Rosenberg is active in the Gainesville community where he serves
on the board of Gainesville Rotary Club. He is a proud alumnus of
the University of Florida and is President-Elect of the UF College
of Medicine Alumni Board. He also serves as a member of the Board
of the UF National Alumni Association. Dr. Rosenberg is an avid supporter
of the University of Florida athletics program.
